Injury to the heart
forever alters the beat:
weeping wounds, scar tissue,
yet a chamber still
sings…

Silent Sunday,
save for the waves
and the call
of the seabirds
for sun to bring
her grace.

Sometimes we can light
another’s candle
from the light
of our very soul,
and sometimes
it only takes
one bloom
refusing to fold
to awaken
the world.

If sunflowers can
root themselves in sand
to choose the sea,
so can I
morph into myself
and choose my own
destiny.

Cracked blinds,
unwashed windows,
dusty dreamcatcher
mislead;
the sun has finally found
the seed in me.
Hold me tender,
hold me through;
until I believe,
whisper again to me
those delicate truths.
Sometimes I fall in love with wildflowers; this is one of those times. From my Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/bylauradenise/
Perhaps the only thing that can fully fill those spaces inside
is the Light,
yet for that soul-quenching, we keep looking
to the tide.

I don’t need you
to lift me
to see my future
holds all of my wishes;
I already know,
for you are now
in it.

Here is my post from today…
Sincere seeds
heart-harvested
naturally bloom
to sprinkle cheer
in discreet, little ways
that speak
volumes,
and the bouquet
never wilts,
remaining in the soil
of the soul
to regenerate
offshoots,
eternal growth.

orb of light suspended
protected by barkless tentacles
the fire descends
for the ancient ritual
soundless ceremony
tree spirits of old
centuries of wisdom
remain untold
a vision of truth
purity of purpose
i become entranced
test my worthiness
