Wildflowers Whispering

Sometimes the resilience

hatched from the suppressed

seeds of weeds

springs, blossoms into the most

beautiful species,

centered in the purity

of soft petals

woven from silken ivory,

in pairings sharing

connected purpose

and spiritual energy

that rely on each other

for balance and internal

peace, as they gently reach

out to the same world

who try repeatedly

to render them extinct.

Pull them up. Poison them.

They are weeds

who again?

What if I disagree?

What if I fail to see

anything but innocent

organic beauty

in the aesthetic wildflowers

speaking to me?…

I go beyond

letting them be.

I let them become

a part of me.
