Suddenly, the cage opens,
and I fly free.
Suddenly, the Gate opens,
and salvation releases me.
Suddenly, the damn breaks
and rebirth washes me.
Suddenly, the obscured mirror
reveals the real me.
Suddenly, the wind picks up
and blows the dust from my wings.
Suddenly, a poetess,
born again: me.

It is simply magical how beauty can be conceived from the arrangement of 26 alpha-atoms. 🙂

Thank you, Susi! It was composed at the time I began to write again after decades of neglect. I haven’t stopped writing daily since! 😊
